Library Of Congress Christmas Tree
Ornament Project
"Creativity Across America"
Order Library of Congress Ornament Book Here $9 postage paid
Currently Not Taking Any More New Orders due to overwhelming response! Sorry! This project started several weeks ago, and had several hundred participants already when a mailing was sent out, which brought over 300 more orders in overnight. If you notice the page counter on the main page, over 5000 people have visited this project website, and almost 3000 to this order page.
A tree can only hold so many ornaments! While we would love to have everyone participate, space is limited.
If you would like to send an email with your name and state that you would represent if there is more need, email me here:
dmalewski@gmail.com. These emails will not be answered unless more ornaments are needed. Thank you for understanding.
I am also having to limit some of the orders to only one book, as our woodcutter is having difficulty with keeping up with the demand in the time frame we are working in.
You will receive one American made book which measures 6 7/16" tall and 4 1/2" wide and is 3/4" thick. A hole will be drilled for the hanger (not shown here). It will be sent to you via Priority Mail. I will also send you a list of the information you need to participate.
The finished ornament must be returned to me by October 24, 2005. Late submissions cannot be accepted, due to the security involved in the shipment to the Library of Congress.
Participating artists will be invited to a ceremony at the Library of Congress in December.
The ornaments will be displayed on the tree until about the first week in January.
After painting the book in a theme representing your state, following the guidelines posted, please send your book to me at the address below before the October 24th deadline:

You may pay with Paypal or your credit card.
Just for my own reference, can you also add a note to your order if you are painting a different state than then one in your mailing address?
Thanks, and have fun with this project!
Any questions just email me!
